After a successful corporate career, Davy changed direction after Jo’s illness and retrained as a soft tissue and remedial therapist at the prestigious London School of Sports Massage and the National Training College Dublin. Davy’s professional training allows him to provide the highest quality manual therapies.
Sports massage is just not for sports people. Combining general massage techniques with deep tissue work, stretching, neuromuscular stimulation and connective tissue release, sports massage’s therapeutic effects can often eradicate the need for symptom masking painkillers and restore movement and functionality. It aims to restore function and eradicate muscular pain, whether the discomfort has originated in bad posture from desk work, repetitive activities or as a result of playing sports.
A very gentle treatment given without any oils or creams to help post-operative, accident or burn scars. It is used to improve feeling and functionality in the scar and the surrounding tissue, creating better movement between the layers of the skin, connective tissue and muscle.
Involves the insertion of a fine needle, which can relieve symptoms of some physical conditions, healing the body with an improved sense of well-being after treatment. Dry needling can be added to massage treatment.
